“All this time, we spent budget to buy cars. But now, city’s civil servants are only given transport allowance which amount varies from Rp 4.5 million until Rp 9 million. It’s up to them whether to choose official car or take the money. It is the same,” he said.

According to Basuki, official car rent system is applied to save budget. Moreover, official cars that have been used for five years will be withdrawn and auctioned.

“If rent car, we don’t need to think about maintenance problem because it is already covered. The official cars which have been used for five years will be auctioned using official auction, so the cars’ price would be expensive,” he uttered.
